    Overview

Take control of your financial future with this comprehensive program designed to introduce teens to the world of investing, trading, and money management. Across three focused parts, you’ll gain practical knowledge and hands-on experience that will prepare you to make smart financial decisions for life.

Part 1: Wall Street 101 – Introduction to Investing

Begin with the fundamentals of the stock market and learn the language of Wall Street. Explore stocks, bonds, and other investment products, while gaining insight into how opportunities can grow—or shrink—your wealth. Discover what it’s like to work on Wall Street, meet the major players such as investment banks and the Federal Reserve, and learn how to read stock charts, identify promising companies, and understand the IPO process.

Part 2: Advanced Investing & Trading

Build on your foundation with technical analysis to determine when to buy and sell stocks. Place trades in a live simulated trading account you’ll keep access to, while developing risk management strategies and basic fundamental analysis skills to pick strong investments. Learn what drives the market up and down, create your own tracking spreadsheet, and explore custodial account options for both students and parents.

    Part 3: Budgeting & Beyond

Connect financial knowledge to real life by designing and managing a budget based on everyday scenarios. Compare career choices and income levels to explore lifestyle possibilities, and learn how taxes, insurance, and paycheck deductions impact your finances. Gain the tools to avoid scams, credit pitfalls, and financial traps while developing healthy money habits. Explore different types of bank accounts, strategies to grow savings and 401ks, and build a positive “money mindset” to guide your long-term financial goals.

I thought I knew a lot about investing but I never knew there was so much more to learn. This class has really helped me a lot--not only learn how to invest, but also the history and everything that goes on on Wall Street. She taught the class in a very engaging manner. I liked how there were games incorporated into the classes so we can learn in a more fun manner. I also learned what I might have to do to get a job on Wall Street, both the classes an internships. I would recommend the class to anyone who is interested in investing.

I highly recommend all Teach Me Wall Street Summer Programs. Annaline is an excellent instructor who is very engaging with the participants. The courses were both educational and fun. Our daughter was excited to share what she learned with us each day. The Teach Me Wallstreet courses provide an opportunity for students to develop a basic understanding of Wall Street including the ability to read and interpret stock charts, when and how to invest, and key indicators on what to look for when trading. The Zoom schedule allowed for flexibility to attend the program while navigating other summer commitments. Students interested in this topic should consider attending the Teach Me Wall Street Program as they will walk away with increased knowledge and a greater appreciation of the stock market.
