For 160 years, Jewish Family & Children’s Service (JF&CS) of Greater Boston has been helping people build a strong foundation for resilience and well-being across the lifespan, from infancy to old age. By providing a wide array of integrated social services under one roof, we improve the lives of over 15,000 people a year throughout Greater Boston, the North Shore, and the South Shore.
We focus on serving particularly vulnerable populations including children and adults with disabilities or mental illness, new mothers and their infants, seniors living with chronic conditions, and people experiencing financial crisis, hunger, or domestic abuse.
We hope you will become part of our caring network of more than 2,400 volunteers. Volunteers are a vital part of JF&CS and have an incredible impact in the communities we serve.
There are many ways that individuals and organizations can help make a difference in the life of just one person or in the well-being of the larger community. We offer flexible volunteer opportunities that fit into all lifestyles ranging from a one-time experience to a full year commitment.
Mitzvah Project opportunities are also available.
