It's time to make a difference at Nicklaus Children's Hospital! High school volunteers can make a difference with the patients and families by providing comfort, care, unexpected joy, and by supporting our staff.
High school students must fulfill a SIX-MONTH and 80-HOUR MINIMUM COMMITMENT. They volunteer once a week for a scheduled 3-hour shift and two absences are allowed every three months.
Teens interested in the program should visit the website for more information about application cycles and the application process. Due to the high level of applications received, Nicklaus Children's Hospital cannot guarantee acceptance. Qualified applications are received on a first-come, first-serve basis until capacity is reached.
